The Minister of Energy and Mines, Vicente Antonio de la O Levy and the Organising Committee of the International Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Fair, are pleased to extend a warm invitation to participate in its third edition.

This occasion will have a special connotation, as the Cuban Strategy for Energy Transition will be shared, and significant events will be organised, such as an Investment Forum on changing of the energy matrix, workshops, round tables, etc. There will also be representation from relevant International Cooperation Agencies.

The 3rd edition of the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Fair (Renewable Energy Fair) will take place from the 18th to 20th of September 2024 at the PABEXPO Exhibition Centre in Havana.

This biennial event is a space for sharing experiences, technological advances and development programmes in the industries and entities associated with the energy sector in Cuba, particularly those related to Renewable Energy Sources (RES) and Energy Efficiency (EE), as well as offering a professional platform for accessing markets and identifying new opportunities for energy investments in Cuba and other countries in the Caribbean region.

The Fair will have three main areas: a commercial fair with exhibitors, the Sustainable Energy Forum and the Investment Forum.

Commercial Fair

The fair offers a commercial space for companies and organisations to showcase their projects, technologies and services in the renewable energy sources and energy efficiency sector.

Organised by PABEXPO in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce of Cuba, the trade fair will have suitable areas and the necessary services for the exhibition of products and innovations by the participating exhibiting companies.

In addition, companies will be able to make presentations and launch new products and projects, as well as hold training workshops. Meeting areas will be available for Business Rounds between exhibitors and the main parties interested in products and services.

Sustainable Energy Forum

The Sustainable Energy Forum is a space for the presentation of keynote lectures, face-to-face or virtual, by speakers from International Organisations and national entities of the Sector. In addition, Workshops, Panels and Round Tables will be held for the exchange of experiences, with experts of high academic and professional level, on relevant topics in the field of renewable energy sources and energy efficiency.

Among its events, it is worth highlighting:

Colloquium on the New Policy for Energy Transition of Cuba
International workshop: Innovative schemes for financing the Energy Transition.
Roundtable discussion: Promotion of renewable sources and energy efficiency in local development.

Investment Forum

Coordinated by PROCUBA, the Investment Forum is intended to encourage and facilitate foreign investment in the sector, providing updates on the Cuban regulatory framework and facilitating the promotion and presentation of opportunities for foreign investment, giving priority to energy self-sufficiency, industrial production and energy services, through the use of biomass and solar energy.

The Investment Forum provides opportunities to establish alliances between national and foreign SMEs to undertake small and medium-scale investment projects.
